Brooklyn-based artists We Stole the Show teamed up with director Nathan Catucci of Obscura Pictures to take on the NYPD’s ‘Stop and Frisk’ program with a new music video, “Brooklyn’s Finest,” from their single “Anti BS.” We Stole the Show includes artists Rhyson Hall and Grand Phee, both perform on the track. Hall and Catucci worked out the ‘Stop-and-Frisk’-themed storyline after monthly news reports continually detailed the practice and called police tactics into question. “Every story point in the video has been taken from articles or recorded videos of the NYPD,” said Catucci. “We didn’t make this up.” Catucci opted to shoot the video in slow motion, using Sony’s FS-700, capturing in 60, 120 and 240 fps. “I wanted the moment to resonate with the audience, especially those who might be unfamiliar with the practice,” said Catucci.
