Broccoli City has announced their plans to hold their second annual Broccoli City Festival, in Washington DC (Sat., April 19th) and Los Angeles (Sat., May 3rd, which is Earth Day Weekend). So what is Broccoli City Festival (#BCFest) you ask? #BCFest is an environmentally-conscious festival that engages multicultural communities through music. Attendees will have access to yoga sessions, aerobics, and a pop up marketplace featuring diverse vendors as well as entertainment acts and personalities such as Cam’ron, Jojo, Dizzy Wright, Just Blaze, Vashtie, Chuck Inglish, and more.
With almost 5,000 attendees in their inaugural festival, this year’s fest is poised to give multicultural communities a fresh look at various environmental wellness programs and strategies within a fun setting.
This year, Broccoli City has partnered up with Earth Day Network, DC Department of Environment (DDOE), DC Sustainability Energy Utility (DCSEU), Los Angeles Office of Sustainability, the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, 72 and Sunny, Zambezi, and Hip Hop Caucus.
To cap it off, #BCFest will be operating at a LEED Gold certified venue in DC and a solar powered stage in LA to ensure a low carbon footprint.
Enter and make yourself eligible to win a pair of tickets to the event in either location. Contestants must be 18 and the contest will end on April 17th at 3pm EST. Good luck!
