This week’s URB podcast comes from the tour-de-force up-and-comer Manni Dee; who shows no signs of being shy within the vibe of this mix. The British-based producer has been steadily rising through the ranks in various techno communities; as his releases for Black Sun and Shades Records have been rinsed quite regularly by The Black Dog, Mondkopf, Perc and more of his contemporaries at the moment. His audbile style is a mix between mood, mysticism and mania on the dancefloor, and it serves his quite nicely within this mix of tracks that include his own exclusive bits, as well as tracks from Regis, WANDA GROUP, Xhin & Developer. Speaking of his own material, Rob Booth’s Electronic Explorations imprint was wise enough to catch lightning in a bottle when [presumably by the power of Gray Skull] Manni Dee and still-teenage techno sensation Happa came together to present a two-tracker under the name, Habits of Hate. Needless to say, it’s immense, intense and incredible. These aren’t just dancefloor rollers, they’re steamrollers. Enjoy wisely, along with this tough-as-nails mix for our podcast series.
