During the daytime, Matt FX is a music supervisor for the Comedy Central show Broad City. Hisrésumé also includes music supervising credits for the show SKINS (at the age of 18) and most recently, Amy Poehler’s Executive Produced-Difficult People. Damn. That’s impressive. But it only gets better.
At night, Matt FX moonlights as the brainchild of musical collective Scooter Island. Scooter Island is a multi-artist project a la Damon Albarn / Gorillaz or Diplo / Major Lazer. Through his project, Scooter Island is preparing the release of their self-titled 5-track EP on September 4th.
Listening to the EP, it’s really hard to put your finger on the sound or pinpoint a genre and that’s exactly how FX wants you to feel. Ask him and he’ll tell you the music of Scooter Island can only be described as “rooftop music.” When you hear that, it all just makes sense. Scooter Island definitely takes you to a happy moment on a rooftop, enjoying the breeze and an ice cold glass of your favorite drink.
Today, we have for you the latest single to support the EP entitled “Snap Out Of It” featuring S’natra and Synead.
