The documentary film, ‘Time is Art‘, is the story of an artist’s search for inspiration in a money-driven society that shuns creativity, and of the human search for meaning in a seemingly meaningless world. Presented as a cinematic meditation along the lines of Waking Life and Samsara, this unconventional documentary film takes an experimental approach that allows us to experience a reality less concerned with linear storytelling, and more open to the cyclical patterns of nature, the hidden meanings of symbols, and the dreamlike overlapping of people, places, and moments.
Jacob Devenay recently wrote in his review of the film “…time begins to take on a non-linear presence and lines blur like deja-vu. Conversations with luminaries that span distant but related concepts begin to build a tapestry of information that surrounds us all the time but goes mostly unnoticed. It is a raw, emotional, vulnerable, honest journey of personal discovery.” Brent Marchant also wrote, “A compelling and beautiful package, stunning visuals and engaging soundtrack.”
Premiering in a sold out theater in NYC on Wednesday 11/11 & on out on VOD, there are also movie premieres in San Francisco and Austin. Get your tickets here! The soundtrack is also available via bandcamp on 11/11.
