Who would’ve thought that an event once held at the Echo in Los Angeles by founder, Sean Carlson, in 2004, would have blown up into this massive music festival at the L.A. Sports Arena and Exposition Park many years later. What was once an intimate congregation for local rock bands and music lovers alike has now evolved into something bigger than itself. With this years featured headliners such as Phoenix and The Strokes, it wasn’t a surprise to see a blanket of young hipsters swarming the entire park, racing to catch the next act. It literally felt like Disneyland on a holiday weekend as the crowds grew by 7pm each night and the neon lights came on all around the trees.
Nina and I were only able to capture a small percentage of the performers that rocked it, but here’s a glimpse from the two-day event. For the full line up, check out FYF Fest 2014.
