You have a very classic flow. Who were your biggest influences?
There’s a very wide range of artists and genres on that list! I would have to say BIG, Scarface, Royce, Jay-Z, Eminem, and The Fat Killahz as far as hip hop goes.
Which one would you say is your favorite track on Veterans Day?
That’s a hard one… That’s like asking me which one of my children do I love the most. I will say this: me and “Mama’s Words” have a very close relationship [laughs].
Not long ago, you Instagrammed you were in the studio with Quelle Chris for the cleanest dirty record. What did you mean by that and when can we expect the track?
We were listening to this track that Alchemist made and it sounded like something you should be playing while touching your lady in her special place. So we called it “I Want To Touch You Right There.” Although the subject matter is far from P.G., there’s only one or two actual bad words on the song. This is the cleanest dirty record that I have ever heard. Quelle has a line that says something like, “You off the dot I’m eatin’…”[laughs]. Hopefully the world gets to hear this joint very soon.
Do you have plans to tour for the album?
Conversations have been taking place but nothing has been set in stone as of yet. I definitely plan on hitting the road at some point. This album is so personal that it would only make sense to deliver it to the people personally.
Any last words?
I would like to say to EVERYBODY… At the end of the day all that we have is US! Stop taking that for granted. SALUTE!
